"What is a Use Case?" A use case is a particular issue or initiative with a focused set of users having a particular interest and who ask and answer the questions needed to address the tasks and concerns associated with that issue.
The Ohio Coastal Atlas Use Case Map Viewers were developed to focus on a specific topic by integrating thematic mapping layers relevant to the subject matter. Each viewer features a variety of custom tools that allow users to gather comprehensive attribute data and query information. The Use Case Map Viewers use ArcGIS Viewer for Flex technology and are powered by ESRI.
Coastal Grants: This map viewer shows the locations and award amounts of grants provided through the Ohio Coastal Management Program since the program's federal approval in 1997.
Engineering and Surveying: Access live lake level information, wave information state data, open-coast flood level data and survey control data.
Lake Erie Shore Erosion: A regional approach to help control lake-based erosion issues.
Lake Erie Public Access: Find where Ohio's Lake Erie Public Access sites are located and identify the various amenities and services at each site.
The Lake Erie Environment, Lake Erie Watershed and Ports, Harbors and Recreational Boating use case map viewers have been consolidated into the new Interactive Coastal Atlas (ICA) Map Viewer 2.0. The ICA Map Viewer 2.0 also features new use case topics, including Lake Erie Demographics and Lake Erie History.
