There were eight 8-digit Hydrologic Unit Code(HUC) watersheds in Ohio identified for initialization of Discovery projects with FY10 funds in the summer of 2011. These watersheds range in size from 764 to 2512 square miles with the average being 1340 square miles. Several of these watersheds extend beyond state boundaries however the focus for these discovery projects has remained in Ohio.

Discovery Meetings and Current Mapping Project Statuses
The map below shows current mapping projects thoughout and watershed discovery meetings. Information about each county can be obtained by clicking on the county of interest. If there is an asterisk (*) next to a date, this indicates this is a projected date and subject to change. The Google Earth plug-in is required to view the map.
