The Ohio Seismic Network (OhioSeis) consists of 26 cooperative, volunteer-operated seismic stations at colleges, universities, and other institutions across the state. The Division of Geological Survey of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, in cooperation with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency, coordinates the network from the Ohio Earthquake Information Center at the Division’s laboratory facilities at Alum Creek State Park near Delaware, Ohio. This facility also hosts U.S. Geological Survey Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) station ACSO, in addition to Ohio Seismic Network seismic-monitoring instruments. Displays pertaining to Ohio earthquakes and other aspects of Ohio geology are open to the public during normal business hours.
