This preserve is located within the striking geologic feature known as the Rocky Fork Gorge. Dolomite cliffs and slump blocks produce tremendous spring wildflower displays in April and May. Natural arch and bridge visible from trail. Additional hiking opportunities in nearby Highlands Nature Sanctuary.


Local directions

Located in Highland County. From Rainsboro on U.S. Rt. 50: South on Barrett Mill Road 2.1 miles. Preserve entrance is on left. When gate is closed, park to the side and walk ½ mile back to trail head. Do not block gate. Visitors must remain on developed trails.
