A small earthquake with a magnitude of 2.1 mbLg occurred beneath Lake Erie, on the Ohio-Ontario border, on August 13 at 11:41 EDT. No one reported feeling this small event, which was about 27 miles (43 km) due north of the Lake-Ashtabula County shoreline. No previous earthquakes have been recorded at this location.
