A small earthquake occurred just west of Madison, Lake County, Ohio, on June 7, 2010 at 12:22 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time. Several felt reports, all from the west side of Madison, were received by the Ohio Seismic Network. Residents described a booming sound and a sharp jolt. There was no damage from the 2.3-magnitude event. This earthquake occurred in the general area of a 2.9-magnitude earthquake on April 24, 2010 and events on February 1, 2005 (2.3) and on June 30, 2004 (3.3).
