A small earthquake occurred in eastern Lake County between Perry and Madison on April 24, 2010,  at 10:00 p.m. EDT. Many residents of both communities reported feeling the  event. A 2.3 magnitude earthquake occurred very near this location on  February 1, 2005 and a 3.3 earthquake occurred here on June 30, 2004. No  damages were reported.

Individuals who felt this event are encouraged to submit a report to the U.S. Geological Survey's Did You Feel It Website (http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/tabid/8305/Default.aspx). These reports help to determine the extent of the felt area of a particular earthquake.
