Established as the Office of Chief Engineer in 1964, the Division of Engineering provides engineering, land surveying, architectural and related technical and administrative support services required by ODNR landholding divisions in improving, utilizing, and managing their properties and associated resources.

The Chief Engineer and his staff are the principal representatives of the director in all aspects of engineering, planning, designing, contracting, surveying, inspecting and managing ODNR construction projects and capital improvements program, including NatureWorks.

In addition, the division administers the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) roadway maintenance program and coordinates department review of petition ditch projects under ORC Section 6131.14.

Capital Improvement Plan/Projects

Petition Ditch
