PROGRAM ASSISTANCE GRANTS
SWCDs
These grants will provide a safety net for districts with a sudden reduction in local funding, impacts from USDA office closures, and assist SWCDs experiencing a steady slow decline, or a long-term level-funding pattern. PAG funds will provide assistance with program delivery, administrative costs, and costs associated with strategic planning and program evaluation.

AGRICULTURAL POLLUTION ABATEMENT COST SHARING
Landowners
Provide cost-share and technical assistance to solve agricultural or forestry-related sediment or livestock waste pollution problems. Provides 75% (up to $15,000) of the cost of installing eligible practices (defined in Ohio Administrative Code 1501:15-5-13) that will provide the least cost alternative to control pollution.

OHIO LAKE ERIE CONSERVATION RESERVE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM (CREP)
Farmers and owners of agricultural lands capable of cropland production. Land must be within the Lake Erie drainage area of 27 eligible counties in northern Ohio.
Cost-share grants and incentive payments are allotted to enroll in conservation management practices to reduce soil erosion, field runoff, and sediment pollution from agricultural lands.

WATERSHED COORDINATORS
Non-profit organizations, local and regional units of governments
- Organizations can request 3-year or 4-year grants to employ a watershed coordinator. - 4-year coordinators develop state endorsed watershed action plans. 3-year coordinators implement state endorsed watershed action plans. - Grant covers up to 80%* of salary and fringe benefits for a watershed coordinator. 20%* sponsor cost-share required to complete watershed coordinator compensation. *90%/10% for watersheds within “economically distressed” portions of the state as determined by Ohio Department of Development.
RFP distributed as funding permits. Currently, there are no plans to invite proposals until Spring 2008.

WATERSHED EDUCATION MINI-GRANT
These small grants will provide funding to SWCDs for projects focusing on watershed education for schools and the general public.
