Ohio State Parks’ Service and Stewardship Strategic Plan was developed with input from a variety of employees and stakeholders representing the many facets of our state parks. Our mission and vision of service and stewardship are built of a foundation of core values.
Although the plan is presented according to the focus areas of customer service, resource management, human resources, infrastructure, financial resources, and partnerships and outreach, we recognize that many of our objectives reach across disciplines.
We believe that each Ohio State Parks employee has a stake and a responsibility in achieving our goals. We acknowledge that our dedicated staff, as well as our partners, volunteers and stakeholders are critically important to our success.
The objectives set forth in this plan are the tools we intend to use to make progress toward our goals. In order to fully implement the plan, each park region and central office group will develop sets of actions steps to accomplish the objectives.
Measures will also be developed to help monitor our progress and identify areas for improvement.
