Focus Area:
HUAMN RESOURCES

GOALS:

  • Ensure employees have the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform their jobs
  • Attract and retain professional and service oriented employees and volunteers
  • Enhance the diversity of the workforce and volunteer base

OBJECTIVES:

  • Improve internal communication and working relationships
  • Ensure employee safety
  • Participate in performance evaluation and encourage goal setting for each employee
  • Adopt innovative ways to recognize and motivate employees and volunteers
  • Continue to provide training opportunities and encourage employees to take advantage of free or low-cost training programs
  • Identify and recruit quality candidates for hiring or promotion
  • Analyze staffing needs, appointment types, and services provided to maximize efficiency
  • Develop succession plans for key job functions in each park region/central office group
  • Identify minority candidates for job openings and volunteer opportunities
