OBJECTIVES:
- Improve internal communication and working relationships
- Ensure employee safety
- Participate in performance evaluation and encourage goal setting for each employee
- Adopt innovative ways to recognize and motivate employees and volunteers
- Continue to provide training opportunities and encourage employees to take advantage of free or low-cost training programs
- Identify and recruit quality candidates for hiring or promotion
- Analyze staffing needs, appointment types, and services provided to maximize efficiency
- Develop succession plans for key job functions in each park region/central office group
- Identify minority candidates for job openings and volunteer opportunities
