| Owl in the Graveyard |
|
In almost every graveyard you will find a lot of mice. Owls love graveyards for that reason. In this game of hide and seek the players are called “mice” and the person who is "it" is called the "owl".
Start by making boundaries for the graveyard and choosing a base (a lamppost, tree or fence). Then select one person to be the “owl”. All players or “mice” must close their eyes and count to fifty as the “owl” runs to hide. Optional: Have the person who is the “owl” in the game wear the mask from the other owl activity.
Once the count is up the “mice” start looking for the “owl” and when they see him/her the “mice” shout: "Owl in the graveyard!" to warn the other “mice” to run back to the base. The “owl” can also jump out when a “mouse” or “mice” are very close.
The “owl” tries to tag the “mice”. The “mice” that reach the base before being tagged by the “owl” are safe. The first “mouse” tagged by the “owl” is the “owl” next round. |
