Find A Sugar Maple Tree Print this page
Sugar Maple trees are native to our great state of Ohio. Many trees can be found in your local Ohio state park, but can you find a sugar maple? Use these tips to find if indeed you can find a sugar maple tree.

Habitat -  Can be found in open areas.

Leaf - The leaves of the sugar maple are opposite on the branch and are lobed. The ends of the three large lobes have four or more teeth, which makes them look like crown points.

Seeds - The seeds from the sugar maple tree are called samara and are paired. The seeds make a helicopter-like flight to the ground when released.
