Guidebook 20 summarizes the current knowledge of glacial deposits occurring in an interlobate area between the Cuyahoga River and Grand River lobes in Portage and Geauga counties in northeastern Ohio. The late Quaternary history of glaciation is discussed and related to drainage, distribution of glacial deposits, and development of post-glacial wetlands. The guidebook contains an analysis of the spectacular exposure of Illinoian (next to the most recent glaciation) tills in Swine Creek in southeastern Geauga County and an interpretation of wetlands hydrology determined from a study of White Pine Bog owned by The Nature Conservancy. The 44 figures include surface materials maps, cross sections, and laboratory analyses of sediments.
