The Cincinnati Arch Consortium (CAC) was a cooperative research group consisting of the Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio geological surveys and funded by industry sponsors. The CAC was formed to investigate the rift basin "discovered" by the Ohio survey coring in southwestern Ohio (see Information Circular 56).
The CAC initial report, The Geology and Geophysics of the East Continent Rift Basin, was prepared by coordinators Larry H. Wickstrom (Ohio), James A. Drahovzal (Kentucky), and Brian D. Keith (Indiana) and is available from the Indiana Geological Survey as Open-File Study OFS 92-04; 103 p., 32 figs., 8 tables, 7 appendices, 23 pls., and 1 CD-ROM. Cost is $20.
To order, visit the Indiana Geological Survey Web site.
The work of the CAC also is summarized in ODNR Division of Geological Survey Information Circular 57.
