Structure Contour Map on the
Precambrian Unconformity surface in Ohio

Map PG-23

By Mark T. Baranoski

Structure map on the Ohio Precambrian unconformityMore than 30 years have elapsed since the ODNR Division of Geological Survey last published a statewide interpretation of the Precambrian unconformity surface. A large number of wells have been drilled to the Precambrian since that time, and revolutionary discoveries have changed our understanding of this ancient terrain. Map PG-23 and the accompanying report show the interpreted Precambrian unconformity surface and structural data currently available for the Precambrian surface in Ohio.
