The PG-3 series features computer-generated oil and gas well-spot maps on a USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle basis. (Click here for an index to the 7.5-minute quadrangles.)
These full-color maps represent our continuing efforts to digitally capture and update well locations and attributes. The computer-plotted maps replace the formerly used township-based series. At a scale of 1:24,000 (1 inch=2,000 feet), the maps show all known drilled or permitted wells on a USGS topographic base map. Updated biweekly, the oil and gas well data on these maps are current to within two weeks from the date of printing.
Two types of products are available:
- Print-on-demand paper maps at $8.00 per quadrangle.
- Choice of PDF or TIF files of maps. $25.00 for up to 6 files on CD-ROM. Each additional file is $4.00.
Prices exclude tax and shipping and handling charges; see ordering information below. For oil and gas well GIS data only, see the PG-4 series of products.
NOTE: The older DBF files of the well locations (not updated since 2005) are no longer available.
