A small aftershock of the 3.8-magnitude earthquake on June 20, 2006, occurred beneath Lake Erie on July 1 at 1:25 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The earthquake was located offshore from Painesville, in the general area of the mainshock. This is the third aftershock. No felt reports were received.
