Dam and spillway improvements may not sound exciting, but their importance cannot be overstated. These vital structures not only serve to regulate lake levels but also proved protection from potentially devastating floodwaters. Recently completed projects include the rehabilitation of Tar Hollow's dam and spillway, replacement of Grand Lake St. Marys spillway and the rehabilitation of the Muskingum River Parkway Lock #10 at Zanesville. Improvements to the dams at Harrison Lake, Lake White, Scioto Trail and Stonelick state parks, all currently being designed, are scheduled as future undertakings.

The campground electrification project at East harbor was completed last year, while similar projects at Barkcamp and Guilford Lake are set to begin this season Guilford Lake will also be getting new shower houses. installed.

Day-use area improvements are being finalized for Buckeye Lake's Picnic Point, for development of Geneva's bath house and for installation of flush restroom facilities at five locations around Indian Lake.
