The total grant and project amounts do not include those funded through Ohio's Coastal and Estuarine Land Conservation Program (CELCP) which is also administered by the Office of Coastal Management. This project will acquire 118 acres of riparian forest; protect about 16,000 linear feet of headwater streams and extensive floodplains; and preserve approximately two acres of high quality wetlands.

Silver Creek Restoration

This project will restore stream integrity (meanders, streamside habitat, and flow), reduce nonpoint source pollution movement downstream, restore natural floodplains and establish educational opportunities on stream restoration and bioengineering principles.  Valuable information will also be provided on restoration tools needed to stabilize exposed dam impoundments created by dam removal.
