Earth Science Week events featuring Ohio Geological Survey staff members who will share insights into the state's geology.
- Earth Science Day – H. R. Collins Laboratory, Delaware
Friday, October 18, 9:00 a.m.
Survey geologists will welcome area school children and lead workshops on rocks and minerals, geologic maps and their uses, and more.
- 33rd Annual Fall Hike – Lake Hope State Park, McArthur
Saturday, October 19, 10:00 a.m.
Join Ohio State Parks on a 3-mile hike. Survey staff members will be on hand to discuss the geology of the park and answer questions about the area's mining history.

Come for a rugged hike through beautiful Shawnee State Park. Survey staff members will be on hand to discuss the geology of the prominent sandstone of the region as well as the Ohio River.
