Equipment and Miscellaneous Items Auction 

The auction has closed.

The Marietta State Nursery has closed for business.
 
Seedling Sales:
Quality seedlings for reforestation are available through the Maryland, Kentucky and West Virginia state seedling nurseries. In addition, privately operated nurseries that sell bareroot seedlings for reforestation can be found through the US Forest Service Native Plant Materials Database.  In addition, numerous local Soil & Water Conservation Districts hold annual seedling sales.

The Marietta State Nursery officially closed in the Fall of 2008:
Section 753.10 of H.B. 1, 128th General Assembly (the 2010-2011 Biennium Budget Bill) specified for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry to work with the Southeastern Ohio Port Authority to facilitate the transition and future development of the former Marietta State Nursery.

“The act requires the Director of Natural Resources to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the Southeastern Ohio Port Authority to develop the future use of the property that formerly comprised the Marietta State Nursery.  The memorandum must provide for the sale of the property for highest and best use, sale and usage of the property that is compatible with neighboring properties, maximum financial return for the Department, and expeditious sale of parcels of the property.”  -- Section 753.10 of H.B. 1
