Palomar Knot


Follow these four steps to tie a Palomar knot - great for catfishing!


1. Double about four inches of line and pass the loop through the eye. Image of step one of tying a Palomar knot.
2. Let the hook hang loose and tie an overhand knot in the doubled line. Image of step two of tying a Palomar knot.
3. Pull the loop of line far enough to pass over the hook, swivel, or lure being attached. Image of step three of tying a Palomar knot.
4. Pull the tag end and standing line to tighten.  Moisten before fully tightening.  Clip the tag end. Image of step four of tying a Palomar knot.
