New Wildlife Officer Assigned to Hancock County

 Findlay, OHBrent Allan, 23, of Toledo, Ohio has been assigned as the new Hancock County Wildlife Officer, according to the ODNR Division of Wildlife. Former Hancock County Wildlife Officer Kevin Russell was promoted to Wildlife Officer Supervisor in December.

 

      “Brent is an enthusiastic wildlife officer who is ready to tackle wildlife law enforcement and issues in Hancock County,” said Wildlife Officer Supervisor, Kevin Russell.

Allan is a 2006 graduate of Whitmer High School in Toledo.  In 2008, he received an Associate’s Degree in wildlife and fisheries resources from Hocking College. Allan was an intern at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area prior to being accepted as a cadet in the Wildlife Academy.  He graduated from the academy in July of 2009.  He was assigned as an Officer at Large with Law Enforcement Unit B within Wildlife District Two until his promotion to Hancock County in January.

“I am excited to be able to work in the woods, fields, rivers and urban areas of Hancock County,” says Allan, “I also look forward to working with the sportsmen, conservationists, and citizens of Hancock County.”
