Vermilion River Reservation

The centerpiece of the park is the scenic Vermilion River, which bisects the reservation. The best natural area – and birding – is in the Bacon Woods unit, which makes up the park’s west side.

Driving Directions

   Take State Route 2 West to the Baumhart Road exit.
   Turn left (south) off of the exit ramp onto Baumhart Road.
   Take Baumhart to North Ridge Road. Turn right onto
   North Ridge Road, which will take you to the park
   entrance.
