Pheasant Releases

The Division of Wildlife releases cock pheasants on the opening day of pheasant season, the second Saturday of the season, and Thanksgiving Day. In addition, birds are released for the youth hunts prior to the regular pheasant hunting season. The planned number of pheasants to be released will be listed for each wildlife area below when they are available, the actual number of birds released will depend upon numbers available.
