Controlled Hunt Information Sheets for Permit Recipients

If you were chosen to participate in an Ohio Division of Wildlife controlled hunt, you will find information applicable to your hunt below. Find your hunt, click on the link, and print out the information.

To check the status of your lottery application(s), complete the following instructions:

  1. Visit www.wildohio.com
  2. Click “Wild Ohio Customer Center.”
  3. Click “Manage Your Customer Account.”
  4. Click “Start Now.”
  5. Choose A Search Method.
    • Select “Customer Account Number and Date of birth.”
    • Enter your Customer Account Number (printed on your hunting license). 
    • Enter your date of birth.  Be sure to use 4-digit year (mm/dd/yyyy)!
    • Click “search.”
  6. The system will display your Customer Account. 
  7. Click “My Lottery Applications & Results.”
  8. The system will display the status of each application you submitted.
    • “Pending” indicates that the drawing has not yet been completed.  Check back later.
    • “Unsuccessful” means you were not drawn. Better luck next year.
    • “Awarded” means you were drawn.  Congratulations!
    • If you were awarded a permit, click the “Print Controlled Hunt Permit” button to print your permit.

Adult Deer Hunts

  • Due to changes in NASA's security requirements, some changes have been made to the above hunts. All hunters have to submit fingerprints along with the background check forms.  This has created many challenges that NASA, the DOW and Wildlife Services have tried to overcome to facilitate the hunt process.  Because of this process and the potential length of time it may take, the first two hunt dates have been rescheduled.  The October 20th date has been moved to November 17th and the November 3rd date has been moved to January 5, 2013.  Hunters drawn for these hunts will be notified of the changes by mail and email or telephone. Thank you for your patience with this process.
