WATER CONDITIONS

Temp: 63 °F

Level: The water level is at normal levels. Bluegrass Island is accessible at this time. The water clarity is average. 

Fishing Effort: medium

Level: The Sandusky River water level is normal.  The water clarity is average to good.



Fishing Effort: high

FISH BEING CAUGHT

Anglers are still catching a few limits of walleye at this time, and good numbers of white bass are being caught. 

White bass fishing is excellent, with large numbers of fish being caught.  Walleye fishing is slow.

BEST BAITS

White bass anglers use jigs, spinners or worms fished under a bobber. White bass anglers use jigs, spinners or worms fished under a bobber.

BEST LOCATIONS

All areas are producing white bass.

All areas of the river are producing good numbers of large fish.

OUTLOOK

The walleye run is winding down but the white bass fishing is still picking up.

The white bass run is near the peak.  Anglers may still find some walleye in the river for the next week or so but the run is over.

COMMENTS

Do NOT keep any walleye shorter than 15 inches and the bag limit is now 6 fish.  Please take a ruler with you.  Black bass cannot be possessed until June 28th.

Reminders:
Black bass season is closed to possession, from May 1 through the last Friday in June (June 28, 2013); any caught must be released immediately unharmed.  Black bass are protected by a 14-inch minimum length limit at all times. 
* Walleye have a 15-inch minimum size limit for the entire season.
*  Walleye daily bag limit is four (4) from March 1 through April 30.  Daily bag limits for walleye will be set on May 1 of each year.  A special publication announcing the new daily limits for walleye will be available at Wildlife District offices, the web site and license outlets.
