
Inside the Sportsmen's Migratory Bird Center (SMBC) visitors will encounter many different displays such as waterfowl decoys; a wildlife habitat display featuring more than 300 mounted animal speciments; children's touch-table and activity center with treasures from the marsh; and aquarums and terrariums filled with native fishes, reptiles, and amphibians. Outside, a walking trail offers the chance to look for fish, frogs, and turtles around adjacent ponds and a 40-foot observation tower provides a spectacular bird's eye view of the area.

Magee Marsh Wildlife Area supports an abundace of wildlife, but is probably best known as one of the top birding spots in North America. More than 156 species of songbirds, including 37 species of warblers, have been seen at Magee Marsh during spring and/or fall migration. The boardwald bird trail is a popular destination for birdwatchers of all ages and skill levels. Special events, naturalist programs, and bird walks are scheduled throughout the year. The Magee Marsh Wildlife Area and Sportmen's Migratory Bird Center are located 17 miles west of Port Clinton on State Route 2 between State Routes 19 and 590.
