Becoming an authorized Ohio Division of Wildlife License and Game Check Agent

Thank you for your inquiry about establishing your business as an Ohio Division of Wildlife license and game check agent for the sale of hunting & fishing licenses/permits and for processing game check transactions.

In order to become a license and game check agent, you must review and comply with the contract and equipment requirements.

Please print the License and Game Check Agent Packet.  The packet is 12 pages in length. 

1.     Print, read, sign and submit the following documents.

• Application for Appointment (2 pages)
• Voided check or deposit slip
• (2) License Issuance & Game Check Contracts (4 pages each).  You must print, sign and return two copies.  One copy will be returned to you after it is signed by the Chief of the Ohio Division of Wildlife.

2.     Print, read and retain for your records.

Please be advised that applications will not be approved unless the prospective License & Game Check Agent meets all the computer hardware and software requirements.  At a minimum, the applicant must have an internet connection, a personal computer and license printer that meets the specifications listed.
