Location: Lake Shore Boulevard (SR 283) and East 222nd Street Euclid, OH Latitude: N 41° 36.81’ Longitude: W 081° 31.76’ Waterbody: Lake Erie Access Site Type: Scenic Environments: Bluff Sandy Beach Monitoring: - Research: - Grants: -	The 3.5-acre Euclid Park is accessed off Bliss Lane at the north terminus of East 222nd Street/Babbitt Road intersection with State Route 283 (Lake Shore Boulevard) on the city of Euclid’s east side. Bliss Lane ends in the parking lot for the on-site Euclid Community Center. The parking lot’s east and west sides are connected by a compacted gravel trail that loops the perimeter of the park in a 0.2-mile U-shape. The center of Euclid Park is mowed-grass green space. Deciduous trees line the park’s eastern boundary and are sporadically planted in the park’s open area. North of the trail, park benches overlooking Lake Erie line the top of a partially-mowed grass, partially-vegetated gentle slope leading down to a stone revetment at the back of the beach. The beach area is split by a water outlet that is flanked on both sides by approximately 200-foot limestone block jetties. On the 50-foot wide, 230-foot long western beach area, the foot-friendly sand is mixed with small rocks and shell fragments near the water’s edge and small pieces of driftwood at the back of the beach. The east beach is 65 feet long and averages less than 20 feet wide. Per city regulation, swimming and other forms of water contact are not permitted at Euclid’s public beaches.
